Rez Rainbow - Founder Zuni Pueblo Artisan/Cultural Demonstrator

Art has always been a part of my life, growing up in a family of renowned native artists. Learning from my parents, Jayne and Lynn Quam, I was inspired to continue the Quam family legacy. I also aimed to be the first in my family to graduate college. After graduating from Zuni High School, I attended New Mexico State University, earning a Bachelor’s in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in American Indian Studies.

Returning to the Pueblo of Zuni, I built Natachu INK with my cousin Elroy Natachu Jr. In 2014, Elroy taught me various art forms, including painting, traditional clothing, jewelry making, and embroidery. My art reflects heavy Zuni influence, aiming to preserve our culture for younger generations and emphasize the importance of oral tradition. Through my work, I hope to connect the past with the present and create change through beauty.
